Compare Forex Brokers

Noam Korbl, Co-Founder and COO

About me

CompareForexBrokers was co-founded in 2014 with Justin Grossbard, and the founding COO still holds the role. Trading forex since the late 1990s, around the same time Justin started, meant learning the hard way: early losses, gradual discipline, and a growing respect for transparency. Before the site existed, comparing notes on brokers over coffee, frustrated by how difficult it was to find clear answers, became the seed of the business. RG146 Generic Knowledge, an Australian financial-services training accreditation issued by Financial Education Professionals, underpins this work; it carries no standing with any UAE regulator and is not presented as though it does. The professional focus now spans two things: running the site’s measured capture, and helping you see what a broker’s published terms really mean.

Why I focus on education

A trader who can read a broker’s own published terms and check a public register is better protected than one relying on a ranking. Rankings can hide assumptions. Terms documents and register extracts hide nothing once you know how to read them. On the UAE edition, the team covers 35 brokers holding licences from the CMA (formerly SCA), the DFSA (DIFC) and the FSRA (ADGM). The differences between those licences are material: a dealing permission with custody keeps client money with the UAE entity, while an arranging permission leaves it with a group entity elsewhere. Understanding that distinction helps you see where money actually sits. My goal is to equip every reader with the tools to ask the right questions, whether they stay on this site or go directly to a broker’s page and start reading the fine print themselves.

What I write on this site

The education and trading-strategy content on the site breaks down what a CFD really is, how spreads and commissions combine into the total cost, what a swap-free account actually changes, and how to read a broker’s own published terms. I also ran the August 2026 measured capture with David Levy: spreads, execution and funding recorded on live funded accounts between 5 and 28 August 2026, from a DX Equinix VPS in Dubai, and those measurements are what the site’s cost tables and calculators price from. The education work starts from what the broker discloses on its UAE-facing page and walks you through how to interpret it against the measured figures. If a broker publishes a spread of 1.2 pips on EUR/USD, you get an explanation of what that means in a real trade. If another broker advertises zero commissions but a wider spread, the two models are compared so the true cost becomes clear. The aim is to replace guesswork with a clear line of reasoning that any trader can follow, regardless of experience level.
